Making a splash in East Nashville
Poolside parties with mojitos and tacos - always a hit
There's a particular magic that happens when you put a pool, good food, and people who live near each other in the same place on a warm afternoon. Last month, Legacy South's team hosted the Taylor community pool party, and it was exactly the kind of gathering that reminds you why neighborhood matters!
The spread came courtesy of Dos Santos: fresh ceviche, tinga tacos, and guacamole that disappeared almost as fast as it arrived. Plus - margs and mojitos served by Emmitt. But the real draw wasn't the menu—it was watching current residents welcome potential neighbors, kids playing in the water, and people actually enjoying the block they live on.
Community creates connection
When Legacy South planned the Taylor pool party, the goal was simple: create a space where neighbors could connect, and have a good ole time. What happened exceeded expectations. The whole community turned out, which tells you something important about the people choosing to build their lives here.
These aren't one-off moments either. This event set the tone for what Taylor will be this summer. Legacy South's team is already planning the next gathering, because this community clearly has an appetite for more.
What a pool party really reveals about a neighborhood
When you're considering where to build your life, you look at the schools, the commute, the layout of the house. Those things matter. But what really makes a neighborhood worth your time is whether the people around you actually know each other. The Taylor pool party showed that this community has the ingredients for that to happen organically.
