After years of renderings and fencing along the Cumberland, Oracle officially breaks ground on its River North campus on November 10. Then it’s opening the gates to the rest of us for three days.
The open house for campus runs Thursday, November 12 and Friday, November 13, from 3:30 to 7:30 pm at 2300 Bowline Avenue. You can walk the site, see 3D models of the future campus, and hear about the jobs coming with it, with local bands and food trucks each night. Saturday, November 14, from 11 am to 4 pm, is Community Day. It’s the one for families, with a real Formula 1 car on display, a racing simulator, and hands-on demos. All three days are free. Details are at oracle.com/nashville.
Oracle is just one piece of what’s happening across the river. A new stadium, a new home for TPAC, and a riverfront greenway that will eventually reach Shelby Park are all taking shape on the same stretch of the East Bank. Together they make up the largest development project in Nashville’s history, right next door to East Nashville.
We’re excited about it, and not just as neighbors. As Davidson County’s largest builder, we’ve spent years investing in this side of the river, long before the cranes showed up. We believed in East Nashville and Madison because of what was already here: the restaurants, the music, the parks, and the people who give these neighborhoods their character. Seeing this level of investment arrive confirms what we’ve known all along.
Investment like this changes a corridor. That’s exactly why we think it matters who gets to own a home here while it happens. Our East Side communities, Taylor, Highland Gardens, and Walton Station, and our Madison neighborhoods, Soren and The Chadwick, pair well-designed, attainable homes with neighborhoods that already have real character. As the East Bank grows, we plan to keep building close to it, so more people can put down roots in the part of Nashville we love most.
