The Model Home Gallery Is Getting a Makeover

Floor plans are helpful. Renderings are beautiful. But nothing tells you more about a home than standing in the kitchen, opening the cabinets, and noticing how the morning light hits the island.

That's the idea behind the Legacy South Model Home Gallery. Five fully finished, furnished homes from our City Living Collection sit side by side on one street in Nashville, with our design studio right next door. In about an hour, you can walk every plan, see every finish in person, and leave with a clear picture of your next home. And right now, the gallery is changing.

The Model Home Gallery is getting a makeover

We've officially started renovating the Model Home Gallery, installing the 2027 design packages one room at a time.

Over the next six weeks, the tile goes down, the cabinets go in, and the rooms turn into something you can walk through in January.

A model home only works if it shows you what you can actually choose. As our finishes evolve, the gallery evolves with them. So instead of looking at last year's selections and imagining the new ones, you'll stand in kitchens, baths, and living spaces built with the exact packages available for homes built in 2027.

The work is happening in layers. First come the surfaces that set the tone of a room: tile, flooring, and the bones of the kitchen. Then cabinetry, countertops, and fixtures. Last come lighting, hardware, and the styling that makes a room feel lived in. Each home gets its own palette, so walking from one model to the next will feel like five different ways to live, not five copies of the same idea.

When the gallery reopens in January, every room will tell you two things at once: how the plan lives, and how the 2027 design packages look in real light, at real scale.

What the Model Home Gallery is

The gallery is a collection of five model homes: four townhomes and one single-family home. Each one is furnished and styled the way a real person would live in it. Sit on the sofa. Stand in the primary bath and picture your routine. Walk the stairs and get a feel for how the rooms connect.

Every model is a City Living plan you can build in one of our Nashville-area communities. So what you see isn't a showpiece. It's a preview of what's possible for you.

The five homes

The Charlotte
Smart, efficient, and a favorite with first-time buyers, downsizers, and investors alike. The open main floor flows easily from kitchen to living, and upstairs, each bedroom has its own en-suite bath. Two bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and about 1,412 square feet. Offered in Soren and Walton Station.

The Avery
The largest townhome in the gallery, and the most adaptable. Start with three bedrooms and 2.5 baths, then add a third full bath and a balcony. It's a plan that grows with a family or gives two home offices room to breathe. About 1,926 square feet. Offered in The Chadwick and Taylor.

The Bryce
Three stories of thoughtful, well-used space. The open main level is made for gathering friends, and the private balcony is a calm place to unwind at the end of the day. Two bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and about 1,569 square feet. Offered in The Chadwick.

The Eason
954 square feet where every corner works. One bedroom plus a top-floor flex space that can become your office, studio, or reading nook, opening onto a private balcony. It's the most accessible way into a new Legacy South home. Offered in The Chadwick and Walton Station.

The Sutton
The single-family home of the five, with the most ways to make it yours: eight elevations, balcony options, an optional third bath, upgraded kitchen layouts, and a two-car garage. Three to four bedrooms and about 1,773 square feet. Offered in The Chadwick.

Why seeing it in person matters

Choosing a home involves a lot of decisions, and most of them are easier to make when you can see the real thing. At the gallery, you can compare five layouts in a single afternoon, all within a short walk. You'll get a feel for room sizes and flow that a floor plan can't quite capture.

The same goes for finishes. A tile sample in your hand looks different than a full shower wall. A cabinet door on a display rack looks different than a whole kitchen. Seeing the 2027 packages installed at full scale, in natural light, takes the guesswork out of your selections. As one past visitor put it: "Visiting these model homes helped us quickly realize how much space we really needed and find a design style that matched our tastes."

The design studio next door

Once you've walked the homes, step next door to the design studio. This is where the selections you'll choose from are laid out together: cabinet doors, tile, flooring, and lighting, side by side under the same light.

After the makeover, the studio and the gallery will speak the same language. See a kitchen you love in one of the models, then walk next door and find those same pieces waiting for you. It's the easiest way to start building a palette that feels like yours, with confidence.

How a visit works

1. Schedule your visit. Visits are by appointment, so a member of our team is there just for you.
2. Walk all five homes. Explore at your own pace. Open things, sit down, and take photos of everything you love.
3. Visit the design studio. See real finishes side by side and start imagining your selections.
4. Leave with a plan. Head home with clear pricing and a sense of which plan and community fit your life.

Explore from anywhere

Not ready to visit yet? Every plan in the gallery has an interactive 3D builder where you can choose a layout, add options, and see your price update instantly. Several models also offer a virtual walkthrough, so you can take a first look from your couch while the renovation wraps up.
