Nashville’s status as a rapidly growing “it city” is no secret. According to the 2022 Emerging Trends in Real Estate report, Middle Tennessee is themarket of choicefor investors nationwide. The report calls Nashville a supernova: their word for “a metro area in the midst of hypergrowth.” This explosive expansion has proven especially exciting for specific corners of our city. Today, let’s talk about Nashville neighborhoods on the rise.
Edgehill
First, we have to mention an especially musical part of town. Edgehill is situated between Belmont University and historic Music Row: the hub for Nashville’s most famous industry. This area has seen incredible revitalization over the past five or ten years, and it’s easy to see the effects today. Edgehill’s blend of commercial and residential is truly something special. Whether you want to take a stroll down Villa Place or grab a bite at Bella Napoli, there’s always something to do in this incredible central location.
Cleveland Park
This isn’t the first time we’vementionedCleveland Park: the gateway to East Nashville. Bordered by Cleveland Street, Dickerson Pike, Douglas Avenue, and its namesake green space, this area is in the middle of a complete transformation. Thanks to significant investment, Cleveland Park’s rich historical significance and small-town feel have been preserved during the construction of beautiful new residences. If you’re looking for a loving, connected neighborhood with easy access to the city, Cleveland Park may just be the place for you.
Wedgewood-Houston
Are you an art lover with a penchant for hole-in-the-wall bars and historical factories? Do you get excited about flea markets and craft breweries? You’re going to be obsessed with Wedgewood-Houston. WeHo is bordered by, you guessed it, Wedgewood Avenue and Houston Street. This part of town is uniquely art-centric; residents host an art crawl on the first Saturday of each month. Its old warehouses and factories have also attracted international attention: Apple Music is planning to open its Nashville office in trendy WeHo. If you’re a free spirit looking to get in on the ground floor, it’s time to start looking at Wedgewood-Houston real estate!
Rosebank
For these last two Nashville neighborhoods, we’ll cross the river and head back East. Historic Rosebank is nestled between Riverside Drive and Shelby Bottoms. This area is the perfect place for parents with children of all ages. Friendly neighbors, quiet surroundings, and close proximity to the park make Rosebank especially family-friendly. Safe, low in crime, and naturally beautiful, this neighborhood is the perfect place to find your forever home.
Five Points
Last but certainly not least, we invite you to consider Five Points: the neighborhood where five major streets converge. Locals consider this to be the heart of East Nashville. It’s the place to be for all major celebrations, including theTomato Art Festand the newEast Nash Holiday Bash. You’ll find hometown favorites like Duke’s and the aptly named Five Points Pizza (ratedthe best pizza in TennesseebyInsider). Just a few steps away, historic buildings line the street, including the local branch of the Nashville Public Library (listed on theNational Register of Historic Places). If you’re looking to spend time in a truly special spot, we’d have to recommend buying a home in Five Points.
